Be Fair - Even to Bush

The following was in the Globe today:

'I heard somebody say, 'Where is Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead. Because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas.'

A confused U.S. President George W. Bush has some bad news for South Africa's Nelson Mandela

That's mental, clearly what he is getting at is that those who would be like Mandela and save Iraq from the inside were exterminated by Saddam. Bush puts his foot in his mouth enough that there is no need to fabricate verbal mistakes for him.
