As a kid I was pretty disinterested in reading, until I started reading the sports section. My idea is to bone up on my French by reading the sports section from French papers. Cette une bonne idée. This has the added benefit of potentially making me conversant with what is going on in the world of sports so I can have informed conversations with the reporters who cover court proceedings. They can talk about sports endlessly. At some point in adolescence I lost my interest in the news stories of professional sports - it's one group of professional athletes playing another, they have no loyalty to their teams, why should "fans" have devotion to a particular team?
Unrelated: there is a large container of Jelly Belly jelly beans in the office today and rather than work I'd like to gorge myself on them - you know like how monkeys do with marshmallows? They eat until they throw up then keep eating more marshmallows.
